Here&#8217;s a simple recipe for making Ulundhu Vada<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Whole urad dal (black gram)<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Green chilies, finely chopped<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ginger, grated<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Curry leaves, finely chopped<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Onions, finely chopped (optional)<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Salt to taste<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Oil for deep frying<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Soaking Urad Dal:<\/strong><\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Wash the urad dal thoroughly and soak it in enough water for at least 3-4 hours or overnight.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Grinding:<\/strong><\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Drain the soaked urad dal and grind it to a smooth and fluffy batter without adding too much water. The batter should be thick.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Seasoning:<\/strong><\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Add chopped green chilies, grated ginger, chopped curry leaves, and onions (if using) to the batter.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Add salt to taste. Mix everything well.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Shaping the Vada:<\/strong><\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Wet your hands with water to prevent the batter from sticking. Take a small portion of the batter, shape it into a ball, and flatten it slightly in the center.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Frying:<\/strong><\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Carefully slide the shaped vada into the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Fry until the vadas turn golden brown and crispy.
