INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup leveled and spooned all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoons of salt
  • A cup of milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tablespoons of melted unsalted butter
  • Maple syrup and butter for serving (as desired)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Waffle maker should be preheated in line with manufacturer recommendations. Mix the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl; place aside.

  2. Gently add in the butter.

  3. Cook waffles in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions until deep brown and crisp. (To make a waffle in a regular waffle iron, generously pour 1/2 cup of batter into the center, spreading it to the edges by 1/2 inch, and then cover. Waffles cook in 2 to 3 minutes.)

  4. As desired, serve warm with butter and maple syrup.
