Banana Muffins

  • 250g butter cubes
  • 160g sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large bananas
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 120g dairy sterilized cream
  • 250g self-raising flour
  • 40g plain flour
  • 60g chocolate powder
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup chopped almonds
  • ½ cup chopped and toasted walnuts


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy adding eggs one at a time and blend in the mashed bananas, vanilla essence, and baking soda and cream them together further.
  3. Add the plain and self-raising flour, chocolate powder, chopped walnuts (1 cup) and chocolate chips and mix carefully with the mixture.
  4. Scoop half portions of muffin mixture into greased muffin cups and sprinkle them with chopped almonds and walnuts.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes and check the texture with a toothpick.
  6. Your Muffins are ready!
