Consuming healthy drinks is significant to having a balanced diet. Some of the healthy drinks include;

Water- It is the healthiest and the cheapest way to quench your thirst. It doesn’t damage your teeth as it doesn’t contain any sugars or calories.

Semi-skimmed, 1% fat or skimmed milkIt is a good source of calcium which leads to healthy bones. It also contains protein, vitamins and other minerals, and it doesn’t cause tooth decay.

Plain tea, fruit tea and coffee- They are considered healthy if consumed without adding sugar.

Drinks that are unhealthy include;

Fizzy drinks and flavoured waters– These contain lots of added sugar and very few nutrients. High sugar content, is high in calories, which would lead to people becoming overweight.

Caffeinated drinks- Drinks like coffee, energy drinks are high in caffeine, which would also make people temporarily drowsy. Pregnant women, toddlers and young children should avoid caffeinated drinks, as they might be unhealthy.

Sports drinks- These might help you to boost your energy. Nevertheless, it is high in sugar content, which means it is high in calories and would lead to tooth decay.
