Breakfast stimulates your metabolism and helps you burn calories throughout an entire day. It energizes you to get things done and aids you to focus at work/school. Did you know that when you wake up in the morning, the blood sugar that your body requires to make your muscles and brain work, at their best, is low? What helps to recharge it is your breakfast.

It is also important for kids to have breakfast, which makes it easier for them to focus on their studies. Studies have shown that kids who had breakfast scored higher marks in tests than the kids who didn’t.

Some studies show that, on average, people who eat breakfast are slender compared to those who don’t. However, this cannot be guaranteed. If you are following a diet, don’t think that cutting calories by skipping meals would help. Researchers have found that people who lose weight have their breakfast daily.

Now let’s see what kind of food we should have for breakfast. It should be a mix of foods that contain carbohydrates, protein, healthy fats and fiber, such as whole-grain cereal, low-fat milk and fruits or nuts and whole-grain granola bars.
