In Sri Lanka, Children’s Day is celebrated on the 01st of October annually to increase public awareness about the rights of children.

Universal Children’s day is, celebrated on the 20th of November. On this day, various programs like competitions and cultural events are organized by schools and colleges. Also, children are gifted various items like stationery, sweets, and other gifts. All of these are done to show love and affection to the children.

Children’s day is a reminder that every child is important and they deserve nurturing, education, and other good things in life. Children are the building blocks of the nation. Therefore, the future of the nation depends on how well they are brought up. It is absolutely important to teach them what is right and wrong during their childhood. Also, they should be taught more than just academically.

Every child is a different kind of flower and, they are beautiful in their way.”
